With the Motorhome ordered 😎, we’re now discussing how we’re going to make this work. With the three of us onboard plus the dogs, things could get out of hand very quickly! One thing to consider is how and what to cook in this confined space. Leigh’s borderline obsessive about cleaning, so she’d rather keep the oven, hob unused and in immaculate condition for the entire trip!
I can see her point, there’ll be oil and fat splashed all over the hob and the oven. The motorhome filled with cooking smells through the night. Plus if it’s Phill’s turn to cook, fire alarms going off!!
We’re on a budget though and eating out everyday won’t be possible. We need to find a compromise, limiting what can be cooked or finding other solutions.
The awning could be used to cook outdoors with portable appliances like an electric or gas burner hob, a small oven or a disposable barbeque. We could also take a slow cooker and plan ahead for meals. Maybe cooking overnight if we’re on the road the next day. There’s a full height fridge-freezer onboard, so we can batch cook and freeze several meals.
